that is cool, i've done that too.
even worse than forgetting your cans, is this situation. the DJ before you spins a wicked track perfect for you to mix out of. you take your record and put it on the deck, and get ready.
then you go to plug in your headphones, and you realize he just took the 1/8" to 1/4" inch adapater.
your left standing there like an asian dude with his dick hanging out wondering how to fill this huge hole in queen latifah laying on the bed.
:P
that happened to me last night, luckily i was able to break into someones car and steal an adapter. |

vumeters = ?
nah ive never dj'd in my life, just thought it would be funny to ask! lol!
Clubs should keep a basic emergency pair of headphones and adaptors, i know its not upto them to keep them, but its the club that suffers if the dj is crap because they forgot something!

| Vumeters are the graphic interpretation of the music on your mixer. You know the Leds that go up and down (or the needles if it's still a real Vumeter). If they're responsive enough, they'll peak at each bassdrum, so you can roughly beatmatch the tunes. And when you bring it in the mix, you have just a small amount of fixing to do. |
