Their whole seed business is ridiculous. First they sue farms for copy right infringement when seeds blow on to their farms. Fine so the farms get their seeds cleaned, so then they sue the seed cleaners.
Now their strain of wheat has been found on farms, even though it was not authorized for sale.
Companies should not be able to patent genes. |

lol, the genetically modify their seeds to they cannot reproduce at all. Which of course, reduces the farmer to servitude to them being forced to buy seeds every planting season. Or have their own seeds grow only with the use of chemicals or pesticides which they own the patents to, again, forcing farmers to use only their products.
Monsanto is just a big-business that got in on the ground floor and is trying to plunder the market before anyone can stop them. Disgusting practices. |

pretty much everyone agrees their business practices are disgusting, but if they are operating within the law, isn't it a case of "don't hate the player, hate the game"?

| but the rules of the game are still being established. Genetically modified organisms are a relatively new creation, and as such, adequate laws governing their regulation, use, and intellectual property are not yet established. This is a company that is feeding off of the lack of precedent and pillaging everything it can in the meantime. |
