been a while since I used either but tiger direct had the best price on a thinkpad I bought a few years ago, not by much like $50 cheaper than other places but it's something.

parts or whole? Parts online newegg.

If you have a Frys near you check them as they match prices, you can beat shipping if they have the same parts (and Frys is pretty amazing).

I want to buy a New inexpensive computer to use the internet.

Newegg for parts, and although you can actually see what you;re buying and they will price match, it's always a cluster in there and they always give you grief about the price match so by the time you're done, you might as well have bought it online (I've had to bring signed quotes from another retailer to actually get the discount which is only really what newegg sell for anyway).

As for a new cheap computer you could get an intel NUC but then you have to spec it all yourself and they only do HDMI and limited connectivity.

Dell actually have some pretty good deals if you want something cheap, ready to go and delivered quickly.

Just make sure you check out the return policies and deadlines before-hand. Down with ty policies. I toggle between NCIX canadacomputers newegg tigerdirect, it all depends on the specials and inventory stock.

I read at least 20 orso reviews for each part I'm thinking about buying on newegg, then shuffle to the canadacomputer website and see what they have. Then I make a list and go to the canadacomputers store here in Toronto. I save a buttload on shipping and grab some cool in-store only specials. (My guess is that you don't have one in Cali tho :p)

Also, mail in rebates are a pain in the ass, so make sure you doublecheck on any "sales" they might have. Because in reality, it's a stupidly long mail in rebate that you'll prolly never receive.
