I assumed it would have been announced by now, considering it was canned last year and Nocturnal Wonderland Bay Area is that weekend, is it safe to assume the event is now dead?
sucks it went from this
to nothing in a matter of a couple years :( |

that is dead yo. Unless Skills is heavily apart of it. Love Parade/Fest/Evolution was originally started by a bunch of volunteers. Soon as it got political, everyone became frustrated and left.
1. Love Parade Germany asking them not to use there name anymore
2. Reza's fat ass trying to sue for name: LoveFest
3. LovEvolution... well... by this time, it was over. Too many people were ODing. The drama at the cow palace and EDC LA tipped the scale over.
LovEvolution = DEAD |

Have been wondering the same thing.
From their FB page last year they were working on a Summer event back in SF with parade down Emb and festival at ATT, ala 2004.
However, NO update from them since the cancellation in 2012. This leads me to beleive that its not happening...which is really quite a shame.
It would be nice if they came out and said SOMETHING. |

| I HOPE IT COMES BACK ONE DAY. The parade needs to come back to SF and the afterparty needs to come back to the bill graham and be a 4AM party. So many great times...it needs to be revived! |

| I went to Tijuana last week and they had a parade that was similar to it. There were big rigs with systems, DJ's and dancers on them promoting gay pride and the city's nightclubs. I didn't even know that was happening until we got caught on traffic and the parade went past us. |

| I have never understood how they can get away with SF Pride in the same spot but Love Parade/LovEvolution got canned? Seems like a double standard since they are very similar events(DJ's, massive crowds, parade, naked people, drunk people, etc..) |

If you REALLY want LovEvolution back in SF, a smart thing to do is win over the gay community's vote to bring it back. Although not many people know it, but they are really a powerful community in the Castro. |

People are far more responsible over in the Gay Pride stuff. It also attracts 1million - 1.5 million people which creates a much bigger economic impact.
Don't think the group always gets its way, though. Or Halloween in the Castro would still be going on. |

| i remember the last lovEvolution being kind of gross. the parade was cool but when it stopped in the city hall area, it got weird... a bad weird. Kids were getting eeeddd up. pissing all over the place. Having to be carried out. It was a mess. Maybe it was too big for that small area but i did not like it. And since they were charging to get in, all the "cool" weirdos never came to hang out. |

I saw the same thing including people pissing themselves and a non-stop parade of ambulances hauling people off. People definitely weren't handling their . |
