How do i get the pads to play only one note on my axiom controller. When i click on one key hear different notes on drones, pads, and strings played together. I guess this expected in order for richer sounds but i need the basics first. This caused my of my tunes to be outa key :(. PS. I'm not saying im a pro at theory now so yeah, Help out. :(
mistermerlin
figure out how to unassign the samples from the pads
Juan Paulino
Hey, i tried that using the waveforms on the synth section and it sounds like . I also tried using the pads in the sound source browser and even they are transposed or whatever you call it. There must be a way to have it in just one note.

It doesn't do that for me. I'm not even sure what you mean. So you play one note (say a C) and more than just the C note sounds?
Juan Paulino
Yeah that what i'm talkin about.

Is one of the oscillator layers (or parts if it's a multi) detuned by a fifth maybe?
Juan Paulino
I lowered all detune to zero.
cryophonik
Is it doing it on just one patch, or all of them?
Juan Paulino
Some patches, I don't think there's anything i can do. I think they were recorded with different notes pressed at the same time in order to achieve the desired sound.

You can check that by swapping it with a different sample or, better yet, change it to a synth source. In the center of the Edit window, under the Oscillators tab, there are buttons to select "Sample" (highlighted in blue) or "Synth". Switch it to "Synth" and see if your problem goes away. If you want to just change the sample, leave it on Sample and click on the folder icon in the window right below it. Make sure you do the same for both Layers (A & B), if necessary (select layers right above the Oscillator tab.

Yeah problem goes away with synth mode. I'll try what you said right now, thanks.

If you want even more oscillator/sample options, click the little magnifying glass icon next to the word "Oscillator". There are tons of samples in there - I'm sure you can find another similar one that isn't harmonized.
