Ordered two things this week and can't wait......
dell inspiron special edition 17r (3630qm i7 2.4ghz)
novation sl 25 mkii to go along with my new laptop
and one very nice tranceaddict member gave me their license for the AAS Ultra Analog vst. retails for $199 and appears to be a very good straight forward subtractive. the character also seems to be a lot different than sylenth1 which was a concern of mine. been looking for a good basic subtractive that wasn't so "trancey" - Dune is great but sounds almost identical to sylenth1 |

I made a check-in thread and everything. Seemed weird to just pop up in a random thread, but also seemed megalomaniacal to have a thread all to my self, so I made it a general thread for returning oldfags. I'm clever and neurotic like that.

To be fair, the new ones are way better than the old ones. I figure if I can't make quasi decent music on KRKs, then it's not the speakers. Also, all the good budget options (Yamaha, JBL, etc.) are rear ported and I needed front ported. Why am I justifying myself to you? YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME, DAD. |
