Question/How to: Midi controller-WAV Mapping-Riser

Confused already?..lol I am as well.
So, I hope I will be able to explain myself with this dilemma.

Here is what I am looking for.

I have a riser in WAV form, it's length is 22 seconds from lowest to it's highest frequency.
My goal is to take a part of that riser and put it on my midi controller as a sort of "still". Not performing the entire riser when a key is hit but, only one note of the riser (I am assuming it would be the middle frequency). At the same time, allowing me to use my pitch bend to raise or lower the tone with complete control of the frequency of the full riser wav. How can this be achieved in Ableton 9???
Hope this makes sense!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

In order to hold the note, you're going to need to be able to loop a section of the sample. Any decent sampler can do this. However, your sample is basically a sweep, so it probably won't stay on any one note long enough for you to set a loop. If your sample was really simple, you might only need a few cycles to create a good enough loop. However, the typical "riser" sound is full of noise, filtering, reverb, delay and so on, so I don't think you will have much luck.

You're probably not going to be able to achieve the outcome you want, but it's impossible to say definitively without seeing the sample. On the other hand, your goal is easily achieved if you create the sound yourself. I'd focus on doing that instead.

Which sampler are you using? Kontakt will allow you to play a sample look forward and backward and I think I recall seeing that Ableton's full sampler has the same ability. You can use this to loop a short segment and avoid the "jump" at the end of the loop back to the beginning, but you may still have audible effects of the filtering, FX, etc. that echosystm mentioned.

I decided for the sake of sanity..lol it would be best to just do this as echo stated. Make my own.
I had a feeling it wouldnt be possible but I love the response so much from that sample. Oh well, at least I will be learning to do things more manually.
Thanks for the replies,appreciate it!
