Hei, how the title says i wanna know what tools you can buy to help the production in a DAW. I own an AKAI MPK61, but i saw a lot of "pros" having a lot more tools than a midi keyboard in their studio so i would like advices about what tools should be bought to help the work in a DAW.
And the question about mixing/mastering...
For example when i work at a track late night and i use the headphones(Solo HD by dr.dre) it sounds how i want , but after when i listen on speakers , it doesn't sound the same. The known songs sounds quite the same in headphones and speakers but with my track i have always problems with that.. to make it sounds nice on any system.. If someone can help me with theese informations would be cool. |

There's no substitute for having different listening devices in your room to include cheapo computer speakers of the type many an end user will be listening on.
Now I'm guessing you don't have the funds for hi end monitor speakers which is why I haven't recommended that option, in which case you can send your tracks to a mastering engineer for them to ensure compatibility on any system.
Having said all this getting the mix right in your daw is critical and no amount of mastering can fix a bad mix.
You usually need to automate the faders on every channel to ensure the track remains tame at all points - I find this very hard work tbh. Just sticking a limiter on every channel is not going to be enough unless you luckily happen to produce a tame track by default. |

Bro, don't ask about how much it costs. I wanna know what tools i can get (doesn't matter the price , even if i'm not rich i will can get them.hopefully). And actually i've deleted all my new projects before to finish'em and to master them ...myea anyway i use FL 11.02 and on the last track i've made [finished (FL 10 i guess)] i used theese tricks : http://howtomakeelectronicmusic.com...ng-in-fl-studio(and after deleted it too...because i thinked isn't how i want) anyway.. i would like to know to mix my tracks alone .. and if is neccesar i can send the track to a specialist , if you have an idea how much it costs? |

Bro, you want skill, not tricks. |

"tricks" was like ideas how the mastering should be in fl studio. And a home producer mastering wouldn't reach that easy the professionalism used on avb/pvd/j-a songs. That is a tutorial of mastering methods in FL without using other softwares. |

I saw you recommended this in another post :
http://www.zzounds.com/item--KRKRP8 , and i saw that kind of speakers in alot of "pros" videos. What's the difference beetween other 2.1 speakers? I mean yeah the size and the quality but something else? |

forget about mastering for now - you can worry about that when your mixing is good enough |

The answer to your question is to spend a few years making music. Keep focussing on improving in the areas you need to improve in - writing melodies, the overall flow, balancing instruments, sound design etc. And keep at it for a few years.
And the "my headphone mix doesn't translate to speakers" issue will also decrease with time. Your ears will be able to hear much finer distinctions and your mixes will improve. A good mix sounds good pretty much everywhere. Currently it sounds good to you in your headphones, but your ears in time will hear the mix deficiencies. |

This is not a sarcasm man, this is simply frustration as last few days we have the same subject (speakers) floating around this board and if you just spend at lease few minutes of your time and searching this forum about KRK's you will know that the final recommendation is not to buy them.
