i had a good time and it was great to see some familiar faces. to a certain extent, I'm happy to be back in NYC I honestly kinda missed it
The ass was aplenty Saturday which was a nice sight, felt like I was almost back in Ibiza with the less amounts of clothing being worn.
Music wise, Carl Craig was off, Luciano should have had the whole night himself but it seemed as if it was carl who was headlining this party. I presume Agoria was up there before Carl and it was way too down tempo, the sunset set needed more energy it just kind of rolled along through out the whole night and really lost the energy.
I've seen both stageone installments and it was great to see how the space is utilized but there is so much more to be desired. Why couldn't there be CO2 blasts? Or flames/fireworks? This is one of the things that can move a party from good to great. I'd say cut back on the commodities (VIP tents, art display, dancers) and give peeps a real 'show'. At 50-75 a pop, we're really paying for entertainment/performance/production and not necessarily music i think we're losing the line in the sand as prices go up, productions go up, music quality dips. I think it's safe to say most of us would pay $20 to just be in a dark room with less lights and banging techno then again I was paying 8euro's to see Berlin's underground |

Because $$$. Cut out VIP... which brings in a lot of revenue.. and add production? Doesn't make sense. You don't need fireworks and CO2 blasts to make a good show. The tickets were what... $45 originally? Not really a big expenditure for this kind of event.
What we did need was Luciano not showing up dumb late. I had a great time due to everyone I was with but the music was a bit lacking. And at the end of the day, I'm there for the music.. not CO2 blasts. |

he hadn't slept from doing LIV in miami the night before. that's part of the reason there wasn't an after party either.
i could of gone for at least another 3 hours of that.. they were just getting warmed up in my opinion. |

The weather was on our side for the second installment of StageONE, as was the music with a marathon b2b set by Luciano and Carl Craig, plus daytime sets by Moodymann and Agoria.
