So I just arrived back in Toronto after being in the UK these past few months, so I have no idea what's going on with Cherry Beach now that there are also the Island parties. Is it still every Sunday or what?

| I went 2 weeks back (June 9). That was their first event for the summer I think. Wasn't bad at all. It should be on this weekend. |

Wow, this weekend we team up with Ali Black and his Hypnosis crew. Best known for their stellar full-on fun dancing late night warehouse parties, and we can't thank them enough for that! They're an essential part of the glue that keeps our community fresh and thriving and smiling. Thanks Violca, Kiki, Paul, Raf and Ali. We're super excited to be showcasing Hypnosis down at the beach this Sunday, and thrown into that mix is lovely Dave Cooper and birthday boy Steve Aldred!
Bring a frisbee, bring a kite, bring a handy sweater, bring a dog (only nice dogs), bring your lover and a hammock. And pass the time this lazy sunny Sunday afternoon with friends and friends of friends.

Location
East end of the beach, just beside the Toronto Windsurfing Club at the base of Regatta Road. Walk along the bike path or follow the shoreline... you’ll hear the music.
Driving and Taxi
Take Lakeshore Boulevard East to Leslie Street. Turn south on Leslie to Unwin Avenue, then west on Unwin to Cherry Street. There's a one lane bridge along the way with a stoplight so traffic can get jammed - leave earlier and expect somewhat of a wait. But then free parking options at the base of Cherry Street.
Or take Lakeshore to Cherry Street and park in one of the paid parking lots near the Docks / Sound Academy. Walk south down Cherry Street from there - about 10 minutes. Bring a cart for your cooler and beach accessories.
Biking
Biking to Cherry Beach is easy along the trails beside the lake.
TTC
The 72 bus goes from Union and Pape stations and gets you as far as Commissioners and Cherry Street. It's a 15 minute walk to the beach from there.
Boating
We've had such a great influx of boat visitors, and our event is one of the most exciting boating destinations along the Toronto coast. This year is the year to buy a boat and come, or make yourself useful to a sailor friend and come join us that way. We can't imagine a better adventure than that!
Weather
If the weather is looking dodgy, you can follow how things are going at http://twitter.com/cherrybeach or call David 416 550 2702 or Irving 416 902 1740 for hourly updated voice messages. We usually make the call to go forward or cancel by 1pm Sunday.
This Picnic Runs On Contributions
Friends will be working through the afternoon accepting contributions from everyone who comes out to enjoy. We ask for $5, but you can give more if you like.
What to Bring
Remember to bring something warm to wear as the sun goes down - it can get chilly by the lake as the sun sets. Beach blanket, shades, repellant, sunscreen, lots of water and something to share with your neighbours on the next blanket.
