The second apple opens up their retarded in/out protocol so people can start sending wired audio / midi, the ipad will take off in the audio community . I mean it would just be fantastic. Since upgrading to 3s, the apps you can run are all like mini computers and it almost feels like an instrument

It's even worse with my iPad 4 because I had to buy an adapter in order to attach the camera kit to the new connector. Why can't they just add a USB port (or 3) and make everybody happy?

what the is an ipad 4 ? like mini . Oh 3 with retina. Ya; I actually like the lightening connection but you should just be able to go from that to usb and be done with it. I can't imagine why they don't fix it. Camera kits must be holding their bottom line or something. Or perhaps they are really that clueless.
