I'm totally confused. If I want my signal in mono, I should record it in mono? How do I plug in a mono cable anyway? Do I need a special mono cables from Monster? If my bass is in mono, should I unplug one of my monitors and, if so, which one? What if I want it in stereo, do I still record in mono? This is all so confusing to me.

should i put rebervb on my bass?

Sheesh guys,

It's pretty straightforward.

Record in mono (and yes, you need to disconnect the right monitor - always the right monitor) (oh, but you'll need to have a sub connected, because duh, it's a bass).

Then you need to take a copy of the recorded audio and put it out of phase with the original signal. Be careful not to adjust the position of the audio (timing-wise) or the level, otherwise the bass won't be super phatt.

And yes, some infinite hall reverb certainly doesn't hurt - just make sure to filter out all those pesky highs.

Done!

just put a mic infront your bass, itl be mono if the mic is mono
LoveHate
why dont you just not put any stereo effects on your bassline, and it panned center?
Looney4Clooney
always a good idea to sum phase distorted basses to mono so that even ipod listeners don't have a ing choice.
