i was disappointed when i saw this and looked into it a little. It's pretty lights' new album release party.
He recorded studio musicians and himself playing his own compositions- pressed vinyls- and then sampled the vinyls- ran the samples though tons of synthesis and modulated the out of everything. i respect that process for sure.
id like to see a review of the night from someone who actually has ears. |

I never thought I would see a trance DJ in Cielo, then it finally happened in summer 2006.....

dude puts out some nice trip hop and all of his work is free...respect
and his "dubstep" isn't really neon yolo dubstep (albeit that's who ends up going)...actually has melody and the bass isn't all over the place...and like benjamin said he puts a lot of work into finding and creating his samples
his stuff is gonna rattle that system hard
but I will pass because of the crowd that's gonna be there...shame |

| Pretty Lights is a talented musician for sure. I won't go to this, but he's definitely not some run of the mill hack smashing out wompwomp yolo dubstep. |
