SSD Selection for MacBook Pro

Alright, so, I will be upgrading my ridiculously slow stock 500GB hard drive with an SSD and an HDD in place of the Superdrive. It's a 2012 MacBook Pro 15". Are there any recommendations for decent solid states drives?
I was looking at the Samsung 840 series... |

I once got attacked my monkeys in Thaland and I threw one over a wall. Then the locals attacked me and I had to escape into the jungle on a Harley Davidson.
