Rex Mundi - Watch is my fav from this set, especially 1:17:51-1:18:19 could have been the builtup to something great. This part is driving, melodic, hypnotic and NOT "candy".
Afterwards, it gets slightly candy ... what a pitty. |

the last track "voices in my head" is pretty good imo. the previous track is just meeehehhh
edit: and the whole hidden treasures EP is great. watch is the best track, but the others 2 tracks are good too. |

Don't know what ti is but that Danilo Ercole – Player One (Gai Barone Remix) is doing it for me so hard right now.
I wish there was more candy-free progressive trance like this out there :( |

there is. I pick 10-15 tunes solid tunes every month for the podcast, but to be honest the hotest releases fall under the progressive house label rather than trance. |

And herein lies the problem; You go on to find teh schranz somewhere like beatport and it's millions of hours of distorted lead Armin fluff rubbish, or you go on to Prog, and you get the ing EC Twats and LaidbackPuke.
I just don't have time these days to wade through 200-300 tracks to find one decent track. I know the how to use beatport guide, but still, it's a mission.
Need to have a problem listen when I don't have $3 headphones to listen though. That first track is certainly my cuppa, love that type of melody all three of them have that subtlety and avoid the cheesy breakdowns but..... they all seem to be a little bit head--y - a few annoying lighter gas headrush sounds in there but again, I need to listen on my monitors at home before I really comment.
Props to you, my honky, for educating :) |

Yep.
I'm sure MSZ or others in this thread can lead you to a list of 10 orso labels that consistently release solid prog-trance. That and the aforementioned radio shows... trying to find the quote. Ah there it is:

-Bonzai Progressive
-Silk Royal
-Proton Music
-Balkan Connection /BC South America
-Stellar Fountain
-Saturate Audio (Supported in GDJB/ASOT... at least they're rarely up for noise)
-Afterglow (Same as above)
-Parquet Recordings
-Mistique Music
-3rd Avenue (New)
-In Trance We Trust (For me one of the best labels, consistent releases since the beginning and a lot of great classics in their catalog they still release good trance, specially progressive trance lately) |
