!!!!!!! SHPONGLE !!!!!!!
https://www.facebook.com/shpongle // United Kingdom
Shpongle (pronounced /ˈʃpɒŋɡəl/) is a psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music project. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Simon takes care of the production, instrumentation and programming, while Raja Ram is the flautist and Cunning Linguist. They DJ separately and together, Simon having just completed 52 shows in the USA touring with a visual extravaganza known as 'The Shpongletron'. Dongle and Mongle are the only two other words rhyming with Shpongle...a strange hybrid of electronic manipulation and shamanic midgets with frozen digits squeezing the envelope and crawling through the doors of perception, find a new pair of dice...extra numbers and colours an infinite expanding bubble, filled with a bizzare, strange world of dripping hallucinatory wallpaper, a garden of earthly delights...........Shpongleland.....a place of well being, and reflective surfaces, morphing like an anacondas skin and shimmering like a million colour changing squid, at fifty fathoms.. truly unfathomable like seperating water from it's wetness, the Ineffable Mysteries unweave
STARKILLERS
https://www.facebook.com/starkillersmusic // Hollywood, California
As the USA’s dance music scene continues to come of age on a widespread scale and different styles proliferate and evolve, new talents are coming thick and fast. Only a few have the staying power to go the distance, however. Formerly known as Nick Terranova, U.S talent Starkillers has been cutting a swathe through the bolshier end of the global house music scene with his tough-edged, eclectic sound. Blending big hooks and riffs, soaring vocals, thumping beats and mind-bending effects trickery, his sound is the perfect blend of high-octane, fierce energy and accessible appeal. It’s truly at home amidst the contemporary sound of cutting-edge dance music. “I’m A.D.D” he explains of the hyperactive nature of his music. “I know people always say that, but I really am. I really try not to sound like anyone else or copy anyone. What’s the point in being in this biz if all you’re gonna do is try and sound like someone else? I do what I think is cool and don’t really care what people think. You’re either a fan or you’re not.” It’s not about subtlety or tradition; instead it’s a question of pushing technology and sound to their limits, and creating in-your-face tracks with plenty of charisma and attitude. There’s nothing mundane going on here. Pitch bending leads, rugged bass, mind-warping FX, huge builds and drops; everything in a Starkillers track is designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor, and his potent blend of electro house groove and sharp trance-laced breakdowns has seen his records signed to huge labels including Doorn, Ultra and Nervous. “I really just try to make my sound as crazy as I can without being too far left that people don’t get it” he says. “I try not to pigeonhole myself into one genre so I can change easily and so that it doesn’t come as a shock to my fans when I evolve.” It’s that versatility and open-mindedness that sees him continue to flourish and succeed for years to come, and that will ensure he outlasts less-imaginative peers. 2012 saw his profile rise to giddy new heights, with a new weekly radio show launched featuring guests including Gareth Emery, Morgan Page, Kryder and Stafford Brothers, and a Beatport Electro Chart No. 2 with his DJ Bl3nd collaboration Xception. Touring Brazil, the UK, Australia and Asia and capping it off with a sold-out show at St. Louis’ Europa in the US, his DJing schedule continues to grow in stature alongside his status as a prolific producer. Teaming up with vocalist Amba Shepherd and fellow producer Dmitry KO, Starkillers’ first official release of 2013, Let The Love, dropped on formidable Dutch imprint Spinnin’ Records. It was premiered by the UK’s BBC Radio 1 and DJ Tiësto, and notched up over 200,000 views within its first week on YouTube, kicking off the year as he plans to continue. His bootleg of Zedd feat. Foxes’ Clarity, posted on his Soundcloud in the first few days of the year, has also found huge success online, receiving a sizable 1200 favouritings on blog aggregator chart The Hype Machine. The rest of the year looks breathtakingly busy and exciting for Starkillers: remixes of Pitbull and Sandro Silva’s new singles, a party bus tour stopping by at the legendary Miami Winter Music Conference, singles featuring the likes of Hadley and Kai, and more collaborations with Kryder, Angger Dimas and Bl3nd. He’ll be playing to more fans in more countries than ever before, including a major tour of his home turf in the USA. “2013 is going to be an even bigger year for dance music. I’m so excited about how it’s still taking over the global mainstream. I plan to be a part of that journey this year!”
MARK INSTINCT
Rottun Recordings, https://www.facebook.com/instinctmusic // Calgary, Canada
Mark is a 26 year old Bass music producer from Canada who is signed to Rottun Records and Sub.Human Recordings. Mark destroys anything put in his way. Mark Instinct was always into the sounds of electronic music, but it wasn't until his introduction to drum and bass, at the age of seventeen, that he decided it was time to add his own mark on music. With impeccable taste and skill, early bookings with Hive, Pendulum, Noisia and Tech Itch started to gain him recognition in bass circles around Western Canada. At the age of 20 years old, when Mark Instinct started experimenting with music production, he finally found his niche. Beginning with drum and bass, and dabbling in other genres, such as house, it was the grimy stripped down sounds of dubstep that ultimately caught his attention. Creating dark nasty beats, synonymous with the Western Canadian sound, Mark Instinct soon began to chisel out his own distinctive style imprinted on such releases as "Sketchy Maxx" and "Fword". Attention from record labels 'Rottun' and 'Aufect' recordings lead to the release of "Invader" and "Badman Sound" in 2009; tracks which were soon found on the top-ten of many international DJs playlists. Additionally, a split EP contribution on Betamorph Recordings "The Humunaoid EP" and Aufect Digital "Love me Nots" releases were featured in the top ten charts of Juno, Chemical Records, & Digital Tunes. Achievements made in 2010 followed the same upward trajectory with the release of the "15 Karat EP" on 'Dubline Audio', and a remix for DJ SS' prolific 'Formation Records'. This was then followed by the release of "Detonate" signed on Reid Speed's 'Play Me' records, charting at number two on Beatport's top 100 and remaining a chart fixture for several weeks. The end of 2010 will have Mark Instinct embarking on his first major US tour, bringing a full arsenal of tunes including his newest musical collaborations with MC Messinian of 'Planet of the Drums', BARE, and dubs from the highly anticipated second EP release on Rottun Records 'Destroyed'. Ascending the steep slope of music with ease, this 24 year old is proving that the future will be no different. With Appearances alongside dubstep's biggest names at 'Winter Music Conference' and 'Shambhala 2011', remixes and collaborations with Bare and Dillon Francis, releases slated on 'Trill Bass Recordings', and Dieselboy's label 'Subhuman', it comes as no surprise that Mark Instinct will continue pushing musical boundaries. With tight mixing skills that have been instilled from drum and bass, melody lines of genuine electronic musicality, and the dirty sub and mid range bass that could only be contained by dubstep, Mark Instinct is this decades artist to watch.

P0GMAN
I.AM.Audio, Styx, Chronos, Dank n Dirty, https://www.facebook.com/p0gman1 // United Kingdom
Already widely known for his signature sounds it seems 2013 is ready for P0gman to become a big player in the scene. His tracks feature his downright dutty dirt filled wobble, and making creative collaborations brought all together with his usual dirt filled crunchy basslines for his followers. He previously released an EP on Chronos Sublabel "Styx". The EP showcases two collabs one with Megalodon and then the other with Hype Man Sage with a simple beat to go together with the vocals! The EP has a really good mix up through and through from start to finish and if your already a fan of P0gman then you will know his style and his greatness and if you’re not a fan and only just starting to listen to him this EP will show you the talent this producer has. P0gman has been destroying the scene with his tunes, with the head nodding sound and for the bounce. With support from Shiverz, Modestep, Badklaat, Instigate, Megalodon, Downlink, DZ, Lonestar and Supreme, it’s already clear that P0GMAN is a definite contender in the dubstep scene.
FERRY TAYLE
Enhanced Recordings, https://www.facebook.com/FerryTayleFanPage // Strasbourg, France
French producer & DJ Ferry Tayle was born in 1982. His first musical experience was with jazz. He started playing the saxophone at the age of 7. He became interested in electronic music by discovering Jean-Michel Jarre's first album. After 14 years of jazz music he decided to move into electronic music. He bought his first decks in 1999 and began to DJ. In 2000, he took his first steps in his professional development in the biggest club in the east of France called "Le Colysée". In just one year he had the chance to share the decks with some big names like Cosmic Gate, Darude, U96 and very well known French house DJ, David Guetta. Later, he met and became friends with Nicolas "Cosmic Dreams", DJ & founder of Elektro-Shock, a French electronic music association. During some different events with Elektro-Shock, Ferry met TonKs, and became best friends. In 2001, he created his first project under the name Blackmoon Traxx with his two friends, Stephan & Vincent. After several unfruitful productions it was their remix of Ohm Boys - Thinking of You, one of Alex M.O.R.P.H.'s projects, which was released on Red Silver Rec. (a UK label) & brought Ferry Tayle & Blackmoon Traxx into the public scene. During the summer 2004, Ferry Tayle & TonKs had the honor of sharing the decks with Rank 1 & Alex M.O.R.P.H. during the first big trance event in France. Following this event, Ferry decided to combine the TonKs' sound with Blackmoon Traxx. In November 2004, the new project Everest was born. In December, in search of a vocalist for this project, he met Taa, a female Belgian artist. In 2005, Everest made their first track called Orée. Released in April 2006 on famous UK label Monster Tunes, Orée was the first turn in Ferry's career. In 2005 the track was featured on famous compilations like Sensation White Holland Edition (ID&T) and Technoclub Next Vol. 2 mixed by the legendary Talla 2XLC, and was massively supported by Paul van Dyk (2 times voted as the best DJ in the world), Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Robert Gitelman, and Stoneface & Terminal. Still in 2005, Ferry Tayle next met David Emonin, a Franco-American fellow who was on the ETN.FM Admin Crew. A few months later, Ferry joined the ETN.FM DJ team and his show Universal Language attracted more & more worldwide attention. In August 2005, Ferry Tayle & Everest did their first live act in Lyon alongside Signum, Niklas Harding, Menno de Jong, Rank 1, Misja Helsloot, Sonicvibe & Nu-NRG. 2006 became the second big turn of Ferry Tayle's career. At the beginning of this year, Ferry Tayle met the genius L-Vee (Airwave). He proposed to Ferry to be his co-producer of the famous project Cape Town. In March, Proglifter was born and was the sign of the huge comeback of this project. Supported by Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, DJ Shah, Pedro del Mar, Manuel Le Saux, Proglifter was acclaimed as one of the best tracks of 2006. Vol De Nuit was another smash in 2006 produced with longtime friend TonKs. In 2007, Vol De Nuit saw a release on Camouflage with a variety of excellent remixes which was supported by the biggest DJ across the world. Following that success, Ferry Tayle continued releasing massive tracks in partnership with Laurent Véronnez aka Airwave under the name of Cape Town. Métaphorique and Duo were huge hits that led up to the first Cape Town artist album Aviateur which was released in February 2008. This album contains brilliant trance throughout including brand new productions and some new versions of some older favorites. 2008 ends on a high note for Ferry Tayle with his Carnet De Vol album. This album features a wide range of trance and ambient featuring the talents of various artists like Manuel Le Saux and Stephan R. Revanche and Duo both make appearances on this incredible album which is sure to excite all trance fans! Ferry Tayle's new tracks have seen support from the best DJs in the world like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, and many more. Following this success, Tayle came to the attention of Enhanced Label boss and fellow DJ, UK star Will Holland. They quickly struck a chord and in 2009 Tayle released his first single on the Enhanced label as a result. The track “L’Acrobat”, a collaboration with Static Blue quickly became an anthem sparking a number of follow up tracks including the huge “Prestige” “Trapeze” and finally in 2011 the vocal anthem “Memory Of Me”. His blend of uplifting euphoric trance gained Tayle an ever growing number of fans, particularly in the likes of the UK and Czech Republic. This culminated in Tayle being asked to play the massive A State Of Trance 550 event in Moscow, Russia in 2012. The year also so the likes of Daniel Kandi team up with Tayle on the massive “Flying Blue” which gained support from trance supremo Armin Van Buuren on his ASOT radio show. 2013 looks at being Tayle’s biggest year ever, with his first ever US tour taking place in February as well as a huge number of gigs across Europe. The long awaited new Artist album, as yet untitled will hopefully be released before the end of the year. Watch this space........ The Wizard is coming.........
SPORTY-O (Live)
Tequila Rage Face Gang, illeven:eleven, Play Me Records, https://soundcloud.com/sporty-o // Atlanta, GA
Atlanta native Sporty-O’s meteoric rise to the top as the go-to rap vocalist in the global dance music scene has been nothing short of astounding. Before his trademark delivery and sharp wit propelled singles like ‘Guestlist’, ‘Apple Bottoms’, ‘International Wingman’ and ‘Let’s Ride’ to the top of the Beatport breaks charts, Sporty-O’s relentless hustle cleared the way for his rapid ascend. He recorded his debut hip hop album ‘From The Mouth of Sporty’ in 2000, immediately following up with a string of well-received mixtapes. Continually honing his craft while enjoying a successful 5 year run as an independent record store owner in Decatur, Ga, Sporty-O jumped at the opportunity to star in the MTV show ‘Jamie Kennedy’s Blowin’ Up’. This experience led to appearances in Hollywood films ‘National Lampoon’s Van Wilder 3’, ‘Road Trip 2’ and ‘The Preacher’s Kid’. Undeterred by his foray out west, Sporty upped his musical output, receiving national airplay for the hit hip hop singles ‘U Not Beyonce’ and ‘I’m Money’. This opened the doors for collaborations with high profile talents like Paul Wall, YoungBloodZ and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. But it was in 2007 that Sporty-O saw another opportunity to apply his talents. A collaboration with DJ Lethal (of House of Pain and Limp Bizkit fame) inadvertently led to his introduction to the world of dance music when he met UK production outfit Aquasky. The care-free party vibe of their productions proved a perfect fit for the MC, and their studio partnership produced the single ‘Outta Control’, released on the Passenger imprint to much acclaim. Now turning heads in the dance scene, Sporty-O, the self-proclaimed “international businessman”, soon enough found himself working with global dance scene mainstays like Deekline, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors, Keith MacKenzie and Fixx, Felguk and Gigi Barocco. He has since released his ‘International Wingman’ LP on Keith MacKenzie’s Chicago-based Illeven:Eleven imprint, featuring well-received originals and remixes spanning the dance music spectrum. The last few years have seen him steadily releasing singles (his Felguk-produced ‘2nite’ was the soundtrack to the 2010 Electric Daisy Carnival trailer) and touring the US and Europe in anticipation of his next release, ‘Songs for Strippers’. The album promises to be an all-inclusive affair, with credits by heavy hitters Hatiras, Figure, Calvertron, Fixx, and more, sure to add greatly to his already impressive worldwide album sales numbers, now topping 250,000 units. Despite all these noteworthy achievements under his belt, Sporty-O shows no signs of slowing down. He just wants you along for the ride..! DJ WEDNESDAY
Wednesday Afternoon Recordings // Phoenix, AZ
DJ Wednesday's DJing career began in New Jersey in 1985. Originally a hip hop DJ, Wednesday started playing house and garage music in 1988. He was heavily influenced by the DJs who spun at his favorite club the Zanzibar in Newark, New Jersey where DJs like Tony Humphries and DJ Disciple were puttin it down. When the 90s hit, the New York Scene was in full effect. That was when Wednesday was exposed to the New York Rave Scene. The parties that were running at the time were NASA, The Limelight, The Shelter, etc... By 1993, the scene was starting to peak and the rave scene was starting to divide into different styles of rave and dance. Once the sound of breakbeat hit, Wednesday knew that the music was for him. The breakbeat sound split in the mid 90s into Hardcore, Happy Hardcore and Jungle. Wednesday being a B-Boy from day one levitated to the sound of jungle. In 1994, Wednesday relocated from New Jersey to Phoenix. Once he arrived in Phoenix, he linked up with Russell Ramirez, owner of Swell Records, and Bombshelter DJs Z-Trip, Emile and Radar. They went on to play one of the biggest raves Arizona had ever seen, a New Year's rave called Beyond, where Wednesday was the only DJ on the bill playing Jungle. In 1996, Wednesday moved to West Palm Beach, FL where he linked up with the Soul Providers crew. The Soul Providers were the only crew in South Florida who were organized and moved as a unit. Founded by LP., Leo Purvis, the Soul Providers were a collective of DJs, Dancers, Graffiti Artists, Producers and MCs. They were the perfect foundation for Wednesday and he fit in perfectly. After a year of playing all the major parties in South Florida, Wednesday landed a residency at the Loft. The Loft was a club overlooking the ocean in West Palm Beach where they spun funky breaks in the main room. Out on the back patio is where Wednesday began his following. Being the only Jungle DJ that had a residency in West Palm Beach, he was able to highlight his skills in the land of funky breaks and electro. One night while Wednesday was laying down an inspired Jungle set, Scott Weiser of Dynamix II / Jackal and Hyde introduced himself. Soon after that, he and Scott were in the studio working on Wednesday's first 12 inch release, the Cheeba Cheeba E.P. With his new release ready to roll, Wednesday once again relocated and wound up in Atlanta, Georgia. This is where Wednesday set up shop and ran his record label, Wednesday Afternoon Recordings (W.A.R.). By 1998, Wednesday's name was household in the Southeast. He played a big part in helping to develop the Jungle / Drum n Bass scene in Atlanta. At the time, Wednesday was the only Jungle DJ in Atlanta that was performing with an MC. That MC was the Imperial MC LP, the founder of Soul Providers crew in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Once LP relocated to Atlanta, Wednesday and LP ran the Atlanta underground Jungle scene. If there was an underground DnB party running, Wednesday and LP were rinsin it out. With the next release off the W.A.R. label, Wednesday and LP went on tour. Everywhere from LA to Detroit, Wednesday and LP spread the positive vibration of the jungle. After Wednesday came off tour back to Atlanta in 1998 he knew what he had to do. Wednesday got in contact with a couple key people in the scene and his brain child was born, Konkrete Jungle Atlanta. With Wednesday's long time friend, MJ, (Michael Jackson), they made Konkrete Jungle the biggest jungle party Atlanta had ever seen at the time.. Shortly after that, 9/11 hit and really changed the scene. There were not as many parties running and people were not going out as much. It was not long after that when Wednesday returned to Phoenix where he currently resides and runs his label. For the last nine years, Wednesday has ran Konkrete Jungle Arizona and also finds time to gig in between recording and his W.A.R. label. With his right hand partner DJ Bass doing much of the engineering on Wednesday's tracks, the majority of all production is done in house. Wednesday is also co-owner of HipStep Massive, LLC, a record label, talent agency, etc... ran with his brother from another mother, the one and only TC Islam, AKA TC Iz. Be on the lookout for Wednesday's latest project due to drop late this year.

SYNTHWULF
https://soundcloud.com/synthwulf // Baltimore, Maryland
SynthWulf (James St. George) (USA) has been musically versed since the age of 8, reaching into electronic music at the age of 13. At the age of 17 that he had become a released artist, signing with Nu Energy Records (UK). His first release, “Goodbye Is Not Forever” on the SynthWulf EP was pressed to vinyl. As the years passed, SynthWulf’s style became more melodic, and began to take on the structure of more modern and commercial hardcore. However, SynthWulf’s style tends to lean towards more powerful instrumental sections as opposed to vocal verses or lyrical content. Only three tracks of SynthWulf’s have ever had a singer. S3RL, Alex Bailey, and DJ RX have all collaborated with SynthWulf, his melodic flavor influencing their productions.
SynthWulf has now begun to branch into a more technical style of Hardcore, no longer using the kick-to-eightnote-bass that has dominated hardcore since the early 2000’s. SynthWulf appears to be reaching into drum and bass as of recently
REL 1
https://soundcloud.com/rel1 // Atlanta, GA
REL1 has been a staple in the Atlanta music scene for a decade, but the past year has seen this talent rise to the top of the breakbeat game with his energetic sets which consist primarily of his bass heavy edits and re-rubs. REL1's musical tastes have always been very wide and diverse, but his over 13 years of DJ'ing has been strongly rooted and influenced by old school funk and soul mixed with today's super-engineered bass, distortion, and razor sharp beats. REL1 brings all the elements of an excellent DJ to the table: track selection, strong mixing, cutting, scratching, and more than anything, a fastidious connection with the crowd. Never one to be pigeon-holed by genres you can expect to hear all tempos and forms of high energy beats in his sets. His string of remix, re-fix, re-edits, and bootlegs have gained him huge attention and acclaim as of late on a worldwide scale. They have been featured on several mixes by the worlds top Breakbeat DJs and have paved the way for gigs in Europe and all throughout the United States! REL 1 also won the award for BEST FREE TRACK for his remix of Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" at this year's prestigious Breakspoll : The International Breakbeat Awards in London!
TRENCH
Grand Hustle, Subhuman, https://www.facebook.com/KiNGTRENCH // Atlanta, GA
There is a reason you’ve seen his name next to literally everyone who is anyone in bass music that has come through Atlanta in the past 5 years; Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Bass Nectar, Above & Beyond, Nero, Z-Trip, Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Noisia, Pendulum, Andy C, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Excision, Dj Fresh, 12th Planet, Adam F, Reso, AK1200... the list goes on. It also happens to be the same reason that he has played from Calgary to Miami, and everywhere in between. The reason? Trench is an absolute monster. The ability to bounce seamlessly between Dubstep, Trap, Drum & Bass, Electro, Hood Rap, and everything in between paired with a nasty habit of going through fifty songs in an hour on three turntables has given him the reputation of being Atlanta’s international ambassador when it comes to crushing a party. Coming hot off of the release of the chart breaking "Remember Me" With Mayhem & Naz Tokio on Dieselboy's taste-making SubHuman imprint, the former engineer to T.I.’s Grand Hustle label has kept a literal vault of original material close to the chest only to be teased to the masses at his shows, but 2013 looks to be the beginning of something very, very big. Are you ready? Welcome to the Trench.
