| I posted this here the other day, but apparently someone beat us to it on the Music Discussion forum, so I deleted my thread. In hindsight, I should have left it - it's pretty relevant to this forum. |

Damn it, this whole mashleg sounds like the same thing :haha: - this is the face of our EDM stage right now, freaking depressing!

Yeah, this and the recent rise in vocal and/or supersaw trance is why I don't listen to this anymore. For at least two years me listening to most trance podcasts is just skipping through to maybe find something worth listening to. Daniel Kandi is one of the only trance producers still worth his .
Savant has been my favorite artist for about four months now. I'm going to see him in Vermont on Sept 16th, I'm really excited!

Relevant to this topic I think:
Anyone bored enough could make a similar mashup of trance saws/arps and plucks and dubstep wobbles and house piano chords. |

i thought he was something to look out for but his video game bull is just unbearable and his whole savant thing is a little over bearing. He needs to stop buying into his own hype and slow down because his quality has gone way down but everyone talks about how many albums he has made.
His manager should tell him to stop making 10 albums but rather a few great eps because 10 albums a year is just not a good way to make money. Its overkill.
His new album is just a mess. his last album done in a rush with no structure and pretty much all the same sounds as the last.
I heard some of his attempts at orchestral music and it was just awful but he was extremely opposed to any advice what so ever. |

Sounds like another skrillex, except with some chiptunes. Actually thanks for the ear cancer. |
