Great place to check out on a Friday night. Not the outdoor part of it, but the inside bar.

Great house music. Just spreading the word, since it's hard as to find a place these days in this area that plays good music.

Yeah I've yet to check it out since I've moved here. Only had a Friday night off once in 3 months and that was to see Nicole Moudaber at the ini Republic. I know HPC had Nic Fanciulli last year and last week they had D'Julz. I think less than 2 years ago I remember them booking Seth Troxler too. I hear it's a badass venue.

So true ! And thanks for the review

Had a friend play there 2 weeks back on Friday. Brian Busto and crew do a hell of a job with that party! I had a blast. Vibe was on point, staff is cool, amazing beer selection and just overall cool ass venue. Definitely check out the Friday party if your up there.

Definitely one of the best spots to see an intimate show. Bookings aren't as active as they were prior years but Ive seen the likes of Dubfire, Lazarus, Green Velvet, Danny Daze, Steve Bug, Matthew Dear, and Nic Fanciulli and they all ripped it. Really miss Three's residency there too. Those Snatch parties were always full-on.

Oh man. Went to HPC last night without knowing who was spinning on the decks. As soon as I saw the name Doc Martin posted on the entrance window I knew it'd be a good night. This place continues to impress me. Whoever spun before Doc (Billy... something?) was ing amazing. Thumbs up!

Also, I'm getting this (...) close to starting up a Tampa website dedicated to the music scene. Showtimes, reviews, and all that jazz. I have a knack for judging events, networking with DJs, and writing review, and I've been wanting to code something from the ground up.

PVD tonight? Ugh. Still not sure.

I wasn't there but I bet it was Brian Busto before Doc Martin. He is one of Tampa's best house Dj's and has been throwing good parties since the 90's

YES! That's him!

Thanks for helping me recollect his name. His set was out-ing-standing.

The inside lounge on Friday nights at HPC is quickly becoming my go-to spot for house music. If they keep hosting talent like this I'm going to become a regular in no time.

I really wanna check this out sometime for sure

Yeah I was able to finally make it to HPC this past Friday night too. Was very pleasantly surprised to see how quality this place was. And the vibe was THICK in the room where Doc Martin was spinning. Reminded me of a much nicer Suite B. Doc played a great set and had everyone jamming the entire time I was there from 1 to 3 am. Didn't catch Busto but I've seen him before and he's good too.

Hoping for some BIG names at HPC in the coming months. Francesca Lombardo is throwing down on Aug 23, I'm sure that'll be good. This place absolutely blows Martini Republic out of the water.

Serious Soul
Hey everyone, Brian Busto here. just came across this forum thanks to a friend of mine. wanted to say how thrilled i am to read the reviews you have given my serious soul night. i have def been working my ass off on bringing talent to Tampa along with taking care of my locals making sure they get a chance to shine every month.

To get you caught up on whats happening first off the entire hpc management and owners are supportive of having underground music in their venue. They have my back 100% and respect me and our scene which is one of the reasons why the vibe is really alive there. Its like one big family.

The smaller room where i do my nights is in the process of a renovation. not making any promises but it will hopefully be complete by Oct. This room once complete will be the house room. It will have a new name and will only be for house music. It will be about the same size as the big room.

A lot of people ask me why are we not in the big room. It is my choice and I have my reasons. Yes a little more dance room would be great and it does seem that on our bigger name parties we are out growing the room a bit.

That being said. Ive decided to take a chance this week hoping that its a busy night and move the party to the big room.

what do you guys think? good move?
:)

thanks for the support and also i should be putting part of my set from doc night on soundcloud soon

Good to see you posting here Brian, yeah I think it's a good move. I admit that room was PACKED for Doc Martin and the only negative I could even say about the whole night was the lack of room and people constantly bumping into me as they try to squeeze past. No big deal but more room would definitely be appreciated. I think the party will be just fine ... having a Crosstown DJ in the booth will ensure that a lot of people will come out for it.

And that's great that HPC is backing the underground vibe. The best part about it is that venue is one of the best in all of Tampa, too. Excited for the future parties at HPC.
