Hey TAs,
Mixing on a new laptop with 1900x1080 resolution. It's great for pretty pictures, but not so much for reading. It's bearable for web browsing and such because I use generous amounts of zoom, but when I'm working in Ableton all the words are unbearably small and it's wrecking my eyes. Do you guys know how to make the font more readable without destroying the user interface? I think one possible solution is to reduce the resolution of Ableton Live itself, but I'm not sure how to go about that. Thanks!

| u never said what screen size though? full HD on anything less than 23" makes it unreadable and send your eyes to an early grave. you could just change resolution to "old HD" - 1280*720px if your screen is 17" or whatever. this is the result of some stupid resolution-war while the OSes hasnt adjusted to use this new resolution on small screens yet (!). at work i had to configure 4x 30" screen with a total resolution of 5120*3200px. "Awesome" everybody thought. Some weeks later the whole setup was turned off as no one could read and the screens send off so much heat it was unbearable being there. The users also got neck problem. Perfekt example of "awesome" specs resulting in disaster. |
