Tiesto
This guy just loves riding that mainstream dick.
And can he try and complete with Armin anymore...

I guess we will wait and see how horrible it sounds

It depends on who helps him. You think Tiesto, Armin, etc. solely worked on their biggest tracks? Learn your history. How things actually work behind the scenes is far different than what most of the public knows. When they do something completely solo (or just change who they work with), it's typically obvious and usually a far cry from their best stuff.

Not all producers (eg. like MIKE and Rank 1 -- though Benno does most of the work I do believe) do it, though. But some of the big ones definitely do!

Shortly after I saw this I saw another post about him releasing a trap album.

FYI - Benno IS Armin.
And Tiesto bought his tracks (so do most djs in order to stay relevant). But Tiesto's good ones are bought - recent trance ones like Elements of Life (track).

I was confident it was Benno who helped Armin quite a bit but I couldn't quickly confirm it (and let's get it clear, it's not like Benno does it solely....but yeah, the crux of the stuff Benno did with some of Armin's input.) Benno has helped others.

And when I think of Tiesto's best stuff, Element of Life is surely not one of them. It's like someone saying Just Be is a good track from him -it's horse and a tragically became popular. If it didn't have Tiesto (or BT's) name on it, it would have flopped. Probably flat out laughed at. It's ing terrible.

I am talking early Tiesto, late 90s, early 2000s.

This said, more power to any producer who takes advantage of this business practice. It's not like Benno or anyone else were forced to do it. They could have said no. It was their choice in the end to do most of the work and not take the credit.

And it's not like it only happens in EDM. It happens in pretty much every genre of music out there. Just how it works.

The funny thing with the whole Benno/Armin collaboration is, when the track is great, EDM purists love to say Benno did a great job; and when the track is garbage, they love to blame Armin. And of course most of the public is just like "Benno who?"

But ya, I realized a while ago...just about everyone works with other producers/engineers to turn out most of their productions. I was pretty naive when I first became a fan...thinking people credited as the producer actually did most of the work. When in reality, it's mostly just his or her idea, and then they add some input along the way. Most of the actual execution and production is done by other people.

Best tiesto tracks where with Ronald Van Gelderen.

I believe Benno is just who Armin has worked with most recently. Past several years. It's also when I think Armin's material has been lacking. So, to me, Benno is not helping him too much.

The real question is, who decided to switch to progressive house, Tiesto or his ghost writers?
