I've been following the information here for a long time and finally decided I would post something. If anyone could give me some pointers on how to make this flow better and really catch listeners attentions' I would really appreciate it.
I really want to make this as big as possible. trying to create some nice fusion and see what elements work best together. Any feedback will motivate me : D

Thanks everyone

That instrument introduced at 1:00 could be more colorful I think.
I like the sidechaining and piano riff you're playing starting at 1:27. The piano riff fits in really good. Something to ponder on is how to complete the track going beyond 2:00 as the melody starts to repeat itself.

k ! I actually spent more time on that thing at 1:00 than I did on the piano lol. Really glad you like it though.

Do you think the piano melody after the drop is too boring and should be replaced with another melody and another instrument entirely?

production wise its good - some lovely expensive sounding sounds that are well layered,
the side-chain at 1:30 isn't working quite right yet.

it kicks in ok, the bass drum is good and isn't interfered with thanks to the heavy side chain.

the issue is musical here - the chord sequence isn't satisfying and the melodies don't fit very well. It went on to play summer, which is much better musically than this track.

please don't take my crits the wrong way, the musical bit is somewhat subjective

The beginning sounds pretty bad, its kind of messy afterwards too.

That feedback was so helpful I advanced 10 years in music production just from reading it

Nothing to take the wrong way from your reply. Thanks for at least taking the time to explain things. I usually tend to rush , those chords sounded cool to me as I was making and I just started stacking on top of it lol. This is a collaboration with another amateur producer, he sent me those chords and said he didn`t want me to change them at all. So i just built things on top of them. It will probably turn out as a simple and light progressive track

Something in this tune reminds me of Banco Da Gaia's "Obsidian"
Agree on the whole thing being messy bit. The main idea, vocals and bass sound great, textures too, but overall think textures should be turned down a ton, like 5db+.
Synth at :30 sounds sloppy, probably too much delay, reverb or something, filter cutoff too low, in a mix space so taken with pads and you want something sharp and dry.
First thing to do IMO would be to send all pads and textures to group channel and automate that volume, keep it lower most of the time, that alone should improve the track about twice.
The drop, 2min+ things go really sucky, major work needed there.
Overall needs a ton more hours put in but at least some of the elements sound great, so it's worth it.

Heyo, I just searched that track you referenced. Having a hard time hearing any similarities.. not sure if you were trolling lol but that track sounds nostalgic and has a chill vocal.
Appreciate your feedback and definitely agree with you. This is my first post here and I probably should have worked on it for like another 10 hours before posting. Siiick that you can hear some quality in my sound choice, among other things. I already finished another 7 minute track but will definitely come back to this one this week. respect man
