| Driving down from SF because cosmic gate and Ben gold were that good on the Miami yacht party. Haven't been to LA since Edc 2009 so it should be interesting |

| Ben gold absolutely saved this night. Much like every live Nation venue I've been to, the palladium sucks. Audien and cosmic gate played way too much electro for my taste. I'm not gonna bash on trouse because i actually really like some but this was not of the better variety. Ben gold played TRANCE and really good trance, too bad it was on the Palladium sound system instead of exchange. |

I had no desire to go to this. I use to love Cosmic Gate but not now. Good to hear about Ben Gold. Will have to check him out next time.
And yeah, I agree about the Palladium sound. Garbage and always way too loud but then again i always think that about line arrays. Point source > line array any day. |

Yeah cg is going downhill sadly and that describes the palladium sound system exactly. It's got all these 5 star reviews on Facebook from people who are obviously under 21 and aren't allowed into real 5 star venues like exchange.
I loved their set on the yacht, maybe the fact that it was 21 and over older crowd had something to do with it cause these kids i talked to all love electro trash and i guess that's the new hot thing. Hope it's just a phase. |

| In SF they've become so big ruby Skye thought they could get away with charging 40 for presales and 50 or 60 at the door for a 21+ night. They were wrong and the place was half empty. That pretty much got me to swear off ruby Skye for good. The set was decent but not one of their better. So i think it's a symptom of just getting too big and playing for a more mass audience. |
