the perfect house record

rubez

this is a talanted producer. you may know him better from his brief stint as a trance producer going by the name oliver shine.

his awesome remix of ferry corsten - sweet sorrow, and his own track - northstar.

he goes under his real name these days, peter horrevorts, a dutch producer.

this house record of his is sublime. give it a whirl. it all builds up until the last 3/4's of the track when it lets rip with a short but sweet melodic string section. it needs a full listen for the true effect. the way he brings in a more powerful kick on top of the standard kick the track has been using - very briefly - would cause a dancefloor explosion.

my only complaint would be it starts to build down quite sudden after the melody. but that be the mixing point for the next record, and i'd drop it in hard to maintain the awesome energy levels this track does so well to build up to.

I give the nod to Who Da Funk - Shiny Disco Balls.
rubez
talking about real house. not cheesy radio-friendly pop crap.
lacedpills
ouch
rubez
yep. did you at least listen to the peter horrevorts record before hitting out with such outlandish statements?

i'm guessing... no.
Johan (DJ Irish)

@Johan (DJ Irish)

check out some other horrevorts records if you like thick and chunky.

this is one of my other favourites of his, it's just awesome, also the track 'beaches' which doesn't seem to be on youtube.

Indeed, that's also very nice. I'm definitely familiar with Horrevorts but haven't consciously been checking his productions in many years. Might have to start doing that

Birth is definitely my favorite track by him. Was one of the better prog songs released in the last few years...

rubez
yeah, Birth is awesome, think it's his most famous tune. has a bit of a trancey tip with the deep house grooves.

first heard it on a danny tenaglia mix album... DT is coming here next week :disbelief
LoveHate
i was going to come in here and hate, but these songs are pretty groovy. :toocool:
