Then again, tunes like these are pretty trashy:
But, but... what about all those Marco V bangers? You can't compare those to all the garbage Klubbheads used to produce.
Bottom line is.. not all trash is as trashy as other trash. |
Bottom line is you can paste here a list of thousant tracks of that time. That just doesn't make sense to me when no one called it trash back then. And Klubbheads were great to for having that different sound. |

I mean, trance and progressive seem to be concepts essentially "euro" by nature. They are all so painfully white.
SYSTEM-J, please come school me up as to why my assumptions are incorrect, as I'm sure they are. But it makes so much sense to classify these styles in my head this way.

I think progressive house was originally much of a post-colonial thing than people now realise. An awful lot of dub and breakbeat (not to mention house) in there that reflected a generation of white British producers who had grown up listening to the music of black immigrants to the country. And if you look at just about every genre of dance music the UK pioneered, it all had a very strong Jamaican influence.
So you, AUSTIN. |

| Ok, let's get down to brass tacks(???) here. White people suck at music (and most things). Period. |
