I worked in the professional programming game for years, at least in terms of working for clients. It sucked. I hated it. So I am going back to school and figuring out if thats actually what I want to do with my life and looking at other options in the mean time.
People can rip on me all they want, but why should I conform to what they see someone my age as having to do? I already did that and now I am doing what I probably should have done from the start. Oh well, I tried working in the real world, found what I was doing distasteful and decided to go another route. So what if I have a family that is wealthy enough and willing enough to allow me to do that? What skin is it off your back? Anyone who takes so much offense to it that they need to follow me around on an internet forum and attack me about it, when obviously its not going to change what I do, or even really affect me in anyway besides entertaining me is in a far more pathetic situation than I am.
Vivid ing lived with his mom till recently, actually I think he still does, so whatever. Enydo lived in his parents basement for real until recently. Russell just sucks and no one likes him. So yea, lets not cast stones with out looking around first. :p |

And don't let nou fool you. He lays up at night thinking "Man, why do all those people make fun of me??? So what if my parents pay for me to survive? I'm only in my late 20's. I shouldn't have to have a job because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like me" and then cries himself to sleep. |

What did you contribute while you went to school?

Erm, my fraternity donated thousands of dollars to charities every semester, paid for my fund raisers that I both was involved in planning and participating in. Did countless hours of community service both on campus and in the community. I was a tutor to local high school students, as were many other brothers through the school's tutoring program. We even created jobs! We had both a full time cook and numerous maids.
So what do you do for your community, besides eating cheese quesadillas every day, taking creepy photos of strangers, and posting inane bull about your pathetic life on the internet? |
