43 Hours straight, one meal.

The clients left on the first night, and when they came back eon of them remarked how we (the two engineers) must always wear the same clothes to work every day and then it suddenly dawned on them that we hadn't been home.

The only reason we got a break was that it was going to look bad on the studio management if we were still there when the clients came back the next day.

We got 7 hours sleep and back to it for the next 24 hour session.

I will admit we weren't looking (or smelling) too pretty by hour 40 and by hour 43 it was all going yellow around the edges of our peripheral vision.

My limit of performance is 36 hours. Beyond that, I'm guessing what I'm doing.

Hell yeah, thats what i'm talking about. I was afraid of going outside to drive just to get a meal or i might crash :toothless It was scary. Its about the love of making music.

Yeah, that. When I drove home that night it was like being in a computer game, I could barely feel, see or hear anything anymore. Thankfully I only lived 10 mins from the studio. My GF said I came in, talked a bunch of bollocks (what's new?) and passed out with half my clothes on.

I'm guessing maybe 10-12 hours max.

it isn't a session if you aren't getting paid, you are just a meth user.
38 for me.

i made 4/5 tracks in a week spring 05. not sure i can call it a session and i did sleep some but i didnt go outside or talk to anyone, skipped school, traded away my work hours to a coworker. my gf was hospitalized so i handled it that way, as a i always do, with music. great reality escape it is.

I usually forget to breathe when I'm in a session, so not for too long.

God I wish I could focus for that long. I can barely go an hour these days without going to hammer the drums or make a coffee or something. My attention span is shocking :/

I crave that psychological flow so much that as soon as it dips for some reason i'm out, change of activity. Been tempted for a while to try some adhd meds to see if helps me stay on track better. Probably just end up on the drums even sooner!

i work a 9-5 so im pressed for time usually, but id say 2 hours, hard to stay focused when the internet is right in front of you.

i am curious to hear that song you worked on 24 hours non stop though.

52 Hours in home setup with lots of caffeine. I'm conditioned to it though, my prior focus was hardcore gaming. Used to play 14 hours sleep 6 go for another 14 for weeks when new content came out racing to get world firsts. When something is fun and interesting it's not hard to keep the adrenaline going. At least for me.
