Just wondering... who's the angel from "for an angel"? Did Paul van Dyk write it thinking of someone or he just felt like giving a cute name for that track?
Stupid question, but you come up with lots of them when you're bored :D |

| It's for the Angel in Berlin...the statue around where the Loveparade is held...thats what it's for :) JP did a nice post about this a while ago...try searching for it ;) |

The story about the Gold Else, Loveparade, For an Angel?
For an Angel is the unofficial anthem for all Loveparades. It's a tribute to the Loveparade ravers.
Gold Else, on top of the Victory Column, is the centre of the event. She is the guardian of the event. So that is why Paul van Dyk dedicated this song to that angel.
She is also a symbol of freedom. PVD, being East-German, understands off course the importance of liberty...
That is why For an Angel is such a damn good song. Not only very well made, it has a deeper meaning. Trance has a lot to do with emotions, feelings etc. Off course many other songs carry a message (Such is life...), but this song reflects a whole movement, the Loveparade, Freedom etc etc
