a mix intended for home listening on a quiet Sunday evening, when you're reminiscing about the last time your heart was intensely set on fire, by someone, or something special. for me, it's the sound of a warm embrace and it brings feelings of euphoria, but also a sense of sadness and melancholy.
it's a progressive mix, with bits of house/techno/electronica in it. a lot of thought went into this and i drew inspiration from Sasha's legendary Involver album/compilation for this mix, as it has a very special place in my heart.
i hope you will enjoy.

| I greatly enjoyed this. Different than the other two mixes I've heard from you, the prog ones, but with a similar core of beautiful melodies. Very nice track selection, very good mixing, I'm guessing this was Ableton? Programming was great for what you suggested, a bit of chilled out home listening. Good stuff :) |

cheers for listening :)
yeah, i almost completely lost interest in trance, prog trance, or whatever trance over the last two years, instead i find more trance and this similar core of beautiful melodies in prog house, techno, or what beatport calls tech house (what i find to be an awful genre name by the way).
i'm guilty on using ableton. lame or not, whatever your view is on it for DJ'ing, i feel it's justified for this mix. there were a few transitions where timing and cue points had to be really precise and most of the tracks i picked were not exactly build up in a customary way with a kick to start with and hi hat etc to be add up in a 1,5 minute intro.
its great to hear how much you enjoyed this, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside |

Yeah, I still have an interest in trance &c, but have found myself going in other directions, as well. Never really delved much into this sort of "tech house", I've gone more into the Auxillary and DjRUM camps, but this was nice - as I said, still has a lot of the melodies I like.
Nothing wrong with using Ableton, imo. Use the tools you have, make the best product you can :) |

Yeah, good stuff coming from the guys from Auxiliary, haven't really had the chance to seriously dig into it yet. |

Wow this was unexpected from you. It's pulled of in a perfect fashion. Everything from the track selection, mixing, mood is spot on. You can really hear that you put alot of effort in it.
Smoooooth! |
