is coming out tomorrow on Music Man.

Posting because I know there's a solid Dundov following going on here.

You can listen to it here:

Not super impressed by the first listen, but will get this and listen to more.

+1, but that's what I thought about Distant Shores when I first heard it.

Out of all these Moving is my favorite.

IMO he overdid it with the retro feel. I love that gear but I feel there is a lack in it, not enough modern sounds.

But still, he is very creative and talented.

Liking Moving and White Spring. I will agree with the retro sound being a bit overplayed.

I've personally never really been into Dundov. His synths are way too 80's for me.

I had a quick listen to a few tracks and while I agree he has gone a little 'tangerine dream' on the whole thing, his stuff tends to take a while to set in. Initially I found 'Ideas from the Pond' a little underwhelming but it certainly grew... I find his music takes patience and the right mood

God, this album is ing brilliant. I thought Ideas From The Pond was a solid record, but this blows it clean out of the water. The opening track instantly had me captivated, I love those signature staccato basslines that permeat the mid-section, and the album's comedown into a blissful downtempo panorama is perfectly weighted.

I find it curious that the complaints seem to centre not on any lack of modern ideas, but rather on the sound palette being sonically retrospective. Given the amount of electronic music currently importing synth sounds straight from the canon, why does it become an issue here?

the kick+bass combination in Spheres is pretty sick

Because it's only cool to do that if the source is from Chicago or Detroit. Anywhere else is lame-o.

Moving ftw.

It sounds like if overdone, like here.

Insightful.
