| hmmm I noticed one thing....almost everyone says techs for vinyl but no1 has mentioned wich pickups to go with the techs.......In my opinion the pickup is equally important ;) (I mean no pickup no sound...) |

Well my dream studio I pretty much have. There are a few toys that I would like but some I can't afford or are no longer in production / available.
I currently have...
2x Technics SL1200 MK2's
1x Denon DN-2500F (Dual CD Player)
1x Gemini BPM-500 (Mixer)
For recording and mastering I also have...
1x Tascam DA-20mk2 (Pro DAT Machine)
1x Marantz CDR-630 (Pro CD Recorder)
1x Custom CPU built just for mastering/editing
What I would like...
The mixer that I use in my club(s)
Soundcraft D-Mix-1000
This mixer is absolutely the finest mixer that I have ever worked with. It has unreal specs and I especially love the 100mm faders for excellent control over mixes. Unfortunatly this mixer was last produced in 2000 and at a price tag of just under $4000.00, is out of my budget at the moment.:(

I am actually getting quite near to completing my dream setup (Djing wize, not production wise).
In my studio im setting up i have:
2X Technics sl1210 mk3d's with ortofon concord nightclub carts and styli.
1X Numark ttx-1 Turntable
1X Pioneer Djm-600 In black
1X Pioneer Cdj-1000
1X Msa portable club pa unit (Cost me around 4300 pounds but it packs out 8200 watts, you think it was worth it?)
Next purchase for my setup will be the new denon dn-s5000 table top cd-turntable when they finally release it, theres only one prototype model in existence at the mo. |
