i don't get how people can go to a social function and have just one drink. I don't even like the taste to begin with.
but i know if i have one, i wont stop till i get ed up.
last night, i was turning drinks down left and right at a family dinner,
i was so proud of myself, but all it took was one . :(
is this bad ? i only drink maybe every few months, but i always go all out. |

| Depends on what you mean by all out. Are you embarrassing etc? |

You just stop? I'm always driving so ill allow myself exactly one drink at the start of any social function just to grease my gears and after that im ok with juice or mineral water for the rest of the night.
Or if I am somehow not driving I will drink slowly anyway because i genuinely enjoy the taste of the drink and want to savour it and not get ed up. |

Step 1: have one drink
Step 2: stop
If you can't do that you have a drinking problem. |

Hey I can relate LoveHate. I honestly never drink when I'm just sitting around the house. I pretty much only drink socially when I'm out.
Even if I go out with the intention of only having a beer or two, I usually end up drinking more. I think I just get caught up in the moment, I'm having fun, and so I drink more. Also, I'm a pretty big guy and it really takes quite a bit to get me a good buzz. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean if it's every couple of months what's the problem? |

Easily.

It's not a problem as long as she doesn't feel like she is embarrassing herself or others.
Edit: Or himself. |
