Release #122 on Hype Muzik introduces us to Arun R who is currently the House music resident for Midnight&Co, Hong Kong's only dedicated underground nightclub, and also has a residency at China Rouge at the Galaxy Casino in Macau, and Ozone (Ritz Carlton HK), the highest bar in the world. Arun's debut with us entitled "It Goes Deep EP" featuring two deep tracks the title track and "Sweet Mrs Murphy".
Arun’s outlook on music is driven by rhythm, percussion and soul, but it took him a few years to find his true comfort zone, and now, his musical style reflects his personality well – his sets take crowds on journeys of deep-toned, laidback and trippy disco vibes into afro- influenced, percussive and dubby house. He has played opening and closing sets for some of the world's best and top rated DJs, including Mark Farina, Pete Gooding, Chris Coco, ATFC, James Lavelle, Ko Kimura, Paolo Mojo, TIGA, Aaron Ross, Boy 8-Bit, Sandy Rivera, Gramophonedzie, Benny Bennasi, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk to name a few. Some of the events he has played at include Renaissance Tours, Ministry of Sound (Sessions), Hed Kandi and Soul Heaven.
