| That was a great feature! It was nice to hear the perspectives on the trends over the past 20 years from people like Joel, Steph, Matt C etc; people who have been around and making things happen for the last number of years. |

Yet strangely lacking interviewing anyone involved with INK, like Mark Oliver.
As much as I don't dig what the Guv is about, you can't mention Toronto without mentioning Mark Oliver. It's nice to see they got to guys like Ryan - who in 2000 was practically crying on my shoulder because he lost so much money at his Destiny Y2K rave at the CNE. My how things have changed!
My hope is that with EDM will come the more discerning crowd who are there because of the music instead of the spectacle. It sort of happened with the rave scene in the late 1990s... Breathe at System Soundbar became one of those nights that formed out of the ashes of rave promoters. There were plenty of other nights in different scenes around that time too. |

Was watching the latest episode of Orphan Black on TV tonight, I think they shot a few scenes in The Hoxton (judging from that video at 3:40 aprox), in the dialog it was an "underground club", and one of the villains is a guy with a manager office in the club, he has a tail. One of the heroine clone chicks cuts it off.
A couple of weeks ago they showed the Waverly Hotel (and Comfort Zone door barely visible) and they did a scene in one of the rooms and hall (or a studio replica).
They probably filmed this series starting about a year ago. |
