there are 10" "rack mount" mixers.. i happen to own one.. it mounts nicely in a half-size rack
The idea of a rackmount mixer is demonstrated nicely with the CMX3000/DJM3000 combo - you mount your mixer and source all in the rack, and it's right in front of you.
alot of mixers simply have rack mount kits, which are nothing more than L-brackets that allow the mixer to bolt up to the rack.
