Hi guys I'v been looking for a specific type of sound for a while now and haven't been really successful in finding it.

I'm looking for music in similarity to this:
https://soundcloud.com/marckinchen/...k-right-through

and/or

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93ASUImTedo

and/or

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_H3cIsenBQ

It would be amazingly appreciated, if someone could shed some light on this. I'm looking to know the exact genres theses songs belong to and where I could find similar sounds. I like the retro groovy beats in these songs. I know they vary a little and may not all be the same.

If anyone has any suggestions and would like to share some similar beats feel free to post them here!

Thanks a lot!

Cheers
JF

I don't see how Mano is like this at all. His stuff is much more restrained and disco-ey.

Ever since Disclosure got big this type of retro-nu-pop-house (yeah, I just made that up :p) is everywhere. I don't really follow it though since I find it awfully generic and bland for the most part so I can't give you any examples. That said, if you do a basic search for house right now you should find heaps of this stuff.

Do you dig something like this OP? If yes check out Permanent Vacation, Hivern Disc and the associated labels.

Thanks a lot my friend! These aren't exactly what I'm looking for, but they're for sure some good sounds. I also listened to your Rain, Mist & Echo mix, I must say pretty damn good! Well done! Looking forward to see some new stuff of yours. You have me as a follower!

Thanks! :)

I love that first track the OP posted, Look Right Through.

Here's one I've been digging, Wonderful by Claes Rosen.

And yes, a little self promo, but my last 2 mixes are chock full of this stuff, lots of discoish vocals:

So a trance music forum was the most logical move to find more of that genre?

Before someone objects -> I'd understand, but this isn't even electronic.
PivotTechno
a) Trance is only one genre of music that gets discussed on this board - if you haven't figured that one out by now...
b) Of course those tracks are electronic.
c) You obviously don't understand.
