That's how I imagine System J looks like whenever I read his posts. Btw, you might need to hang a picture of grumpy cat and brief explanation around your neck so the church club will get it.

Yeah i'll probably throw in some cat ears and a shirt that says NO or something.. if it just looks weird and creepy then that might be even better.

Be hip. Go as something extremely obscure, or as Tommy Wiseau from The Room.

edit: I want to go as Edward Snowden

Really!? I thought you guys celebrated carnival in the summer, like we do, not in February... like we do :p

It's freaking cold every year so dressing up as a Greek philosopher for instance isn't the best idea.

There's this carnivalish thing that's being held in the summer which comes close to Brazilian carnival but I think that's only in and around Rotterdam. Carnaval as we know it is only popular in the southern part of the Netherlands. The rest of the country doesn't get it: they think it's just 4 days of dressing up silly, making out with everyone and getting totally wasted every day. But it's more, you know? It's about being able to tell someone to their face that they're one ugly mother******, and they'll just have a laugh, slap you on the shoulder and chug a beer with you.

Just don't do that to the folks 'from above the rivers' who come to try and party with 'us' because then you will get punched in the face. .

Well first of all, I won't be celebrating Halloween, just the Dutch carnaval which will be in February. 90% of the people dress up in uninspired ty outfits like a soldier costume, or just a Hawaii shirt or something.

My sister belongs to that 10% making awesome costumes for her and her boyfriend. Takes weeks to make them. I'll search for some photo's tonight.
I'm from the 90%, but at least something like a clown. Most important however is that you have fun.

Bf and I were thinking about going as Navin Johnson and his wife from the movie The Jerk. Just not sure which exact costumes to wear. We also wanted to just get all ghouled out - cause we've never actually done that and I'm pretty good with make-up.

Next, Breaking Bad is far less popular over here than it is in the States. So yeah, chances are we'll be the only ones in Breaking Bad costumes.

So you're both wrong.

I've seen your badly fitting cheap blue suit with brown belt and shoes. Highly unlikely. You have the fashion sense of an epileptic parakeet.

Ah, you managed to come up with another insult containing both a random adjective and a noun. Good job. Still running your A-game.

I almost feel bad for you, trying to lecture me about fashion.

Your Halloween costume ideas aren't the only thing "off of the rack".

So is your taste in women.

Cool or not those handmade costumes?

Pictures probably were made in Maastricht. More or less Carnaval Capital in Holland.
