| Yes, it is a "bad venue" but atleast they are getting some real trance!! that doesn't happen too often in Orlando! :D |

| I wish promoters would start getting back with Universal and start bringing acts to "The Groove" at City Walk... as far as best "venue" in Orlando would be...that would be it. Too expensive for them? Or Universal doesn't want to play? Such a great room and system that goes to waste... |

I have no idea why you guys dont like Firestone so much. I have been many times in the last 10 years and as recent as last month and have never had a bad time. Its not a world class club but its not some ty dump in a small city either.
I just saw A&F twice this past weekend and its got me really excited to see A&F in orlando this coming Saturday, i am driving 7 hours down to come to the show.
Videos from this past weekend, seriously watch them so you can see the tracks he is playing, simply amazing

Don't ing do it man, this is the worst club I've ever been to for a "big" show. Drive 7 hours for Firestone? My god that is insane. I can think of a million better ways to spend a Saturday night then driving that far to see a show at a ty ass venue. A&F might even play well but the sound is never tuned right (muffled low freqs), the club will be full of UCF kids on bath salts, and to top it off, it will be hot as ballsacks in there. Not a pleasant experience. Then again if you insist it's a good venue, have at it. Just can't understand how one could like this place. And I lived next to it for 2.5 years, have been plenty of times...
for 7 hours, you might as well drive a few more and see some shows in NYC, assuming you're coming from Charlotte. |

I've been many many times. I party all over and go out nearly twice weekly (but have been in a club 8 times in the last 2 weeks). the places i have been in the last year include but not limited to NYC, Los Angeles, Denver, San Fran, wash DC, Ibiza, Belgium, Croatia, Vegas
I've been to most of the worlds best clubs and some of the most lack luster clubs and I'm not saying Firestone is the best but I have no problems with the club. Sure the sound isn't the best but I have heard much much worse too. I put the club in the category of an average club.
I think what's at play here is locals generally don't like their own clubs where most of the Edm shows end up. My friends in NYC hate pacha NYC but love pacha Ibiza. I am the other way around. I myself tend to not like Phoenix nightclub in Charlotte but all of my friends that flew in from NYC this past weekend loved it
Atlanta locals don't like opera in Atlanta but I like it.
SoCal residents despise Avalon but everyone from out of town that's ever been with me love the place.
I think it's just human psychology at play here. I'll be there and I'll enjoy it. |

I get what you're saying. Hey man if you like it and know you're going to have a good time, then that's all that matters. I do have to say that I DO like a lot of the local clubs though. Just not Firestone/Roxy (unless Senso is promoting)/Vain. Kennedy, Hyde Park Cafe, Senso (RIP...it still sucks that it went under, place was so on point for what it was), Suite B, Sky 60 (RIP), Jackson's are all good places. Still need to check out Soundbar... |

WOW!! What a ing night!! That is all for now I'm passing out will do review later today..
Update:
Such an incredible show this was last night! My friend Mustafa did opening duties from 11:30-12:30 which flowed perfect into Fila's set. Out of all the times its been horrible experience at Firestone for me this was the total opposite. The crowd was actually fine and wasn't even that packed or hot. Fila was on top of his game as always. He played a good amount of classics which I like. This is probably the best "real" Trance Orlando has ever seen to be honest. Overall great night hope we get more high bpm artists in the future. |
