this is one of the best types of trance. the underground, hidden gems, accomplished trance without the cheese!

two shining examples:

who has more? as per the title, no classics or anthems... you know, tired crap like solarstone - seven cities etc.

Many trance classics of the early 90's first were underground and hidden (and for many people nowadays still are).

yup, they are definitely welcome. but to me, they mostly (but not always!) sound dated... so i find it more appealing to find stuff from the late 90's - early 00's... especially as the anthem stuff was already in play at that time.

for me this is 'classic trance' - even though it technically isn't - mainly because that's the style that got me started on trance.

i think the more 'classic' stuff has a better emphasis on instrumentation. in the anthem stuff, this gave way to massive synths and supersaws.

going back a bit, paul van dyk's green valley EP is amazing, from 1994 i believe... definitely check that out.

also, quivver was doing some early great sounding productions.

i have this beast on vinyl. 1995.

It's the weekly progressive trance thread from rubez!

stellar contribution as always.

classic trance is not progressive... if you don't know any good examples, or have any useful insight, keep schtum.

The two tracks in your OP are absolutely textbook progressive trance. I'm already on the countdown for your obligatory post of a Planisphere track.

^Its not the same version as the one on React 10 though, which is labeled the same but better.

This is difficult to come by...

...hence the double-order purchase.
