I saw Benny Benassi in South Korea for NYE 2005. It was my first EM show.
Back then I went for the party. Who would've thought 8+ years later I'd love the music as much as I do now (well, not his in particular :p ).
I'm surprised this is at UCF Arena, though. It took Tiesto two tries to come close to filling that place up. |

Wow, show was OVER @ 10:30! Tix were about $36. Timeflies started at 8, then Crespo, then Benny started @ 9:30. He only spun for an hour...but it was a good set. Thought it would be longer....but I guess it was because it was a school function. The arena didnt even sell BEER! The sound in their is really good....really loud & sounds perfect. Great lights also. Place was 1/2 full......1/2 the crowd just stared @ the stage which i guess is normal these days.....the floor (except the very back) looked like a rock concert w/ everyone packed in like sardines, waving their handed out standard issue, glow wands. What a bunch of n00bs! Even funnier they showed UCF promo (recruiting) videos during Crespo's set and he had to stop spinning for them. I can imagine if anyone showed up late how pissed they wud be that the show was already OVER @ 10:30.
Timeflies sounded good, but they are pretty cheesy. Bennassi was awesome, lots of variety, & he played a few of his own songs. The show just shud have been much longer...especially for that kind of money. Im sure they had them under strict rules since it was a homecoming event for UCF. Id def go back to the arena for a concert, its a nice place to see a show, very clean, with a great sound system.... but def wud NOT go back if it was a UCF event. Too strict, too early. Shud have been $15 max or with the price they charged it shud have included FREE beer. (: |
