Burning an .avi file

Say I had a couple of avi files and I wanted to burn them onto normal CDs to play them on my computer, kinda like a DVD.
How does one do this? I search about and the info i found wasnt much help.

its seems its not as easy as one had thought :(
i think i need to extract the audio and covert to mpeg |

| you can get one program from www.vcdhelp.com that will convert .avi to mpeg automatically... then all you have to do, is burn it! |

| Hrm... I've got this in a magazine somewhere... i rmember it saying something about just poping it in to ur puter and it playz all by its self hehe ill look around for that article for ya :) |

| Why do you want to convert avi's to mpg to burn them? If you want to view them on your computer - burn them as they are, that's it. |
