| Hmm I have this problem where after I finish my song.. the song seems to sound dry.. but when I listen to a lot of other tracks.. their drums seems to be blended into the bassline and everything really smooth.. like it doesnt sound chunky if u know wut i mean?.. I wonder how i can achieve this to make the song more smooth flowing and professional sounding?.. |

| Its all about playing around with the volume ... and the EQ , try to make your trance more complicated alweys add stuff till it sounds good |

Compression... compression... compression...
Start compressing your stuff... trance can use quite an
abusive amount of compression without sounding unnatural.
Compress your separate tracks, compress your bass with
the kick sidechained into it after that.
Multiband compress your whole mix... and add maybe a bit
of master reverb...
Just my guess :)

Hi,
Izotope Ozone has a multibandcompressor and some other things you need to get the sound you want. Before you master you track with Ozone you need to balance your track by adjusting the volume levels, and you need to apply eq on every sound in your track, like coby said.

Maybe it will be solved if you upgrade to a higher version. Or, (maybe you know about this), you have the reverb section turned on. You can turn each section on and off by clicking on the green lights in the main section from Ozone. |
