I know that a lot of people are pissed about the results, but what are your opinions? Personally, I was surprised to see someone other than Tiesto or Armin Van Buuren in the #1 spot. Now I know that a lot of people, including me, are upset with Tiesto after he left Trance, but let's try not to turn this into a flame war.
Personally, I'm a little sad that people like AvB and Dash Berlin dropped, but glad to see Myon and Shane back on the list.
Your thoughts? |

Agreed. And especially Cosmic Gate falling 41 spots all the way down to 41... |

You shouldn't be sad at all, its a good thing they dropped. Do you really like all the cheese and trouse they spin?
Oh wait your new here. |

I just find it extremely cocky to inform everyone after your every post that you're currently studying nanoscience at Lund university. |
What kind've butthurt bull is this. Perhaps he really enjoys what he's doing and wants to share that with everyone. Or maybe he's looking to get a few friendly PMs where he can talk with fellow science students. Either way what makes you automatically assume he's on a ego trip? If anything it sounds like you're the one that's butthurt about doing something presumably worse when you'd prefer to be doing whatever he's doing. |

Honestly, I don't really think they have really. I think the scene is so much bigger now and as such there are a lot more big name DJs. It isn't just the top 10 anymore. Most of the top 50 (and some of lower than that) are headliners at festivals.
Also, there is some background as to why Emery is quite a bit lower than before. Basically, he didn't like that someone told him he should spend thousands on a marketing campaign and decided to give away a similar amount to charity and told his fans not to vote for him. An article about it is here: http://www.dancingastronaut.com/201...n-dj-mags-poll/ |

Actually I just went through some of SaulTek's posts and noticed there's a few stylistic similarities to Nou's writing style, so I could quite easily believe it's Nou making a deliberate attempt to write in a neutral style.
And how productive a use of my time it was! |
This is ing hilarious :stongue: I can write like Nou, which isn't that hard when you've been exposed to literally tens of his posts in a day in the cor. It's actually really easy: just write "haha :p" when you've made yourself chuckle and " mong mong retard mong" when you're disagreeing with someone.
But if you're convinced I'm Nou, that's only funny.

I think the only reason you see this kind of behaviour acceptable is because you're a delusional idiot just as he is, trumpeting your naive opinions on every matter and frequently getting shat on by most members.
There's an underlying butthurt to the power of ten in a person who has to blow his academic horn on a trance forum. |

I love how you call me delusional and then proceed to claim that the feeling going through that person's mind when he was writing up his sig was "butthurt". Yes that so looks like exactly what someone who's feeling ty writes.

| I think the results are interesting in terms of the effect a marketing campaign has obviously had in the past: Above & Beyond, Emery, Sander van Door etc have all dropped significantly. Maybe it's all just moved to Facebook now, I don't know, but I didn't see any of the normal viral videos, the freebies, the promises to release albums I'd come to expect, it's like a large number of DJs have agreed to stop placing such importance on the poll. In a way you can see why they used to do it, one year you're fifth, then you're 17th, the next you're 63rd. |
