huh? am i not saying something we all don't already know?

a few months ago with dubfire in DC he trainwrecked, barely played 30 mins and just stood next to dubfire the entire night.

certainly this is news to me and i've followed sasha since 98-99 circa twilo days

the only trainwreck i've ever witnessed first hand was MTV VMA's at the pier and that was a full cut out of power supply to the amp which is more of a production issue than a mixing issue.

but i guess if that's what you saw then that's what you saw, i just personally have never heard sasha ever have the reputation of being so jacked up he doesn't know how to spin or to ever miss his mark when mixing tracks in, to me, he is flawless and exact

well, tame your expectations. with sasha (just like luciano), there is always a 43.65% chance he's too ed up to play well or to play at all lol.

maybe it's been the more recent times that i've been following him more than before.

my friends saw him at stereo a few weeks ago and again told me he only played a few hours since he was a bit messed up.

ANYWAY alright move it along, f u all lol :)

it's like telling me santa has a coke addiction and is delivering me bags of sand instead of coal

i agree sasha can have an off night, but doubt he will in a place like output where things are set to go off. i enjoyed his stereo mtl set loads last month.

not sure why you bring up dc... at echostage his set started late- he arrived a half hour late to venue, then 45 minutes of waiting due to some technical problem with his set up, which a staff person told me could be fixed by one person who was not on site at the time...that person came later with dubfire and his regular tour manager was not there.

soon after sasha got started he ran into dubfire's set time and wasn't able to keep playing because dubfire started on schedule. not sure about a trainwreck - as far as i know there wasn't one. there was a commercial ad and dj bytes from cox and some cheesy edm guys on the video and sound system hyping glow's anniversary between the two headlining sets.

we got very little sasha time until he went b2b with dubfire in the last hour. dubfire was blowing the roof off with the maximum energy techno that he's known to get into and it was special to see sasha and dubfire go at it for 45 minutes. although not anywhere near his usual style sasha held the energy at the same relentless level and it was a fun and unique b2b to see one legend adapt to the intensity of the other. given time constraints, it was a banging dubfire night with a little bit of sasha. sasha has his off nights, but this was hard luck, not him screwing up or being too faced to function. when he did play, he played well.
plus, there is more than enough record of him being both faced and amazing. i think output is destined to be a great sasha night.

that set was 3 hours and 50 minutes and i've seen sasha play more times than i can count but he played exceptionally well there. not his longest montreal set, i know, but it was top notch for this picky sasha fan.
