How to do gatering or chopping effect on Master channel?

Hello everyone, I have a doubt in How to chopping on master channel. I would like to hear some techniques. A example in this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0eOkvXPJx0 at 2:55, you hear the chopping before climax. I've tried some things but doesn't sound well.

Yeah I heard the high pass filter but it is mixed with another effects like chopping.
