Sasha Live from Maida Vale is a personal favorite of mine...
Also was fairly fond of the Silicon Soul and Eric Prydz 2005 ones too. The Prydz one in particular was what really got me hooked on him. |

| Once upon a time the Essential Mix was just about the only place a DJ could put out a two hour set of interrupted music that would be heard by thousands of people. Accordingly a lot more love and attention went in. Post-2005 the Internet meant it had lost a lot of what made it "essential" and I think DJs don't invest quite so much time into it anymore. |

| There are still a few good 'uns from post-2005, some listed above: Trentemoller, Zabiela, J00F... Dixon's from last year was very nice. And what is forgotten is there were an awful lot of crap ones from the '90s, from people like CJ Mackintosh, Alistair Whitehead and Trannies With Attitude. |
