Anyone who watched how House music evolved?

just a simple question...

to those who lived during the times when House music was created back in the days and watch how it evolved into this superstar mainstream electro hype fest, what are your sentiments on seeing the original oldschool forms of house music and compare it to today's house music?

Don't care. There was deep, well though out back then, and there was also plenty of cheesy, forgettable fodder. Both still exist in this day and age, as near as I can tell.

Yeah, one of many. The real old school House lovers however, like the guy behind Morning Factory, today said to me that wasn't even House, just commercial stuff, and today's House also is.

But to "commercial" me, who looks at those as old school House, liked that much more then today's electro stuff. But I try not to complain about it as there is still at lot of old stuff I didn't listen.

I guess that'd be like saying Boney M's Rasputin wasn't really disco.

I mean wasn't there a more underground sound like the acid house stuff back in the days?

Well, this for sure isn't like the commercial house I was listing to in the early 90's:

Question's kind of redundant, isn't it?

Here, watch this:

People are still producing music in this vein to this day.

Heh, I know if I'd heard that in the early '90s, I'd have been utterly bored, wondering where catchy hooks and the lyrics went.:gsmile:

I can imagine, tracks like React 2 Rhythm - Intoxication or Gat Decor - Passion gave me a totally different feeling.
