Planning on it after the Prydz show. I hope there are timeslots so I can plan accordingly.

sadly its avalon. if you go after 2 when the majority of the hollywood clubs kick everyone out. some interesting people start to wonder in...plus the vibe is always weird at avalon.
omega1n
Well that sucks... Never been to Avalon outside of a Markus Schulz open to close set so I guess I never really experienced that type of crowd before, I would assume lol.

well...its not good. i avoid avalon and its pretty easy to do so when they keep booking the talent they do month after month. this show being a rare exception

Agreed Avalon sucks.... Due to the following factual statements. If the venue could somehow land in a different city it might not suck as much, but in Hollywood, yuck.

1) No in n outs. Min, I mean someone who will not be named but is affiliated with Avalon says this isn't a drawback. I'm not sure how he doesn't think it is, because...

2) no general comp entry lists. A comp entry list and in n outs would allow to enter venue early for free and then return later for the act you want to check. What if you get hungry and want to grab a bite, or wanted to have a coffee before the artists you came for comes on? Once you're in, you would be forced to repay to enter after grabbing your hot dog, or frap.

3)the crowd....yikes....Asian laundrymat, trannie Fannie mannie. No good.

Rather go check my favorite artists in Vegas, SF, or SD and made it a point to do so in 2013. MIGHT return for 7 hour Sanchez set, but only because I'd be safely kicking it behind the decks.

James is in sf thur, general comp list available. Don't be a fair weather fan, go travel and check him there if you like him but don't like Avalon.

oh please, it's really not that big a deal ... yeah the first late night at avalon is a little weird if you're not ready for it, but none of the weirder crowd are there to bother you and it's really easy to ignore them if they make you uncomfortable. aside from the washers, that is, they suck ass but usually there's enough room to avoid them on the dance floor

thanks for the link! do you know if there's any restrictions with tix through RA? like only allow entry until certain time etc? or can i safely assume it works just like wantickets will call?
