Interesting... I wonder which Oakenfold will show up? It's always a crap shoot. From what I have heard on his radio show, it does seem like he is drifting back to his trance roots- which would be pretty hot... What has he been playing live lately??

Given the venue, I wouldn't be too optimistic. This place is actually "nice" in the sense it has good sound, production, and is big enough. It actually looks pretty damn good. It just becomes extremely packed with YOLO college kids. This isn't the end of the world in and of itself, but the DJs always play down to the crowd in this venue. So you'll get a forgettable Oakenfold set instead of an unforgettable one. He could surprise us all and play like he's capable of but I highly doubt it.
He was beyond disgusting in Amsterdam last month but again, he's not going to play like that at Vain. |

Supposedly he's on a "trance roots" type tour right now.

I would rather go to this than an Orjan nilsen show thats for sure.

I was going to go to the show of his at the gryphon but Orlando is so much closer for me, even if it's a crap venue. Might just go to this one instead.

It's Vain. You'll walk into wannabe thugs totting a bottle of Hennessy "raging" to the "techno" music. Would love to see a legend such as Oakenfold, but stepping in that venue is an automatic buzzkill.
