| The first track might be decent if you pitch it down a bit. The other two are bloody awful. What a mess. To this day, There's still techno DJs playing his old records but I can't see any decent DJ playing this or anything else he's produced in recent time. Oliver Lieb did some fine techno in the late 90's and early 2000's, I really don't understand why he is so goddamn bad at making modern techno. Has he ever listened to an Ostgut or Sandwell District record? It's like he has no idea what makes modern dark techno work. These tracks sound overproduced, overloaded and muddy at the same time. |

| I don't know, Disease Carrier sounds like a bit of a monster to me. I really like those rushing hi-hats. I don't understand why you would compare this EP to Sandwell District at all. Not in the slightest. |

Oh I'm not saying it sounds like Sandwell District, just that they are some of the people that originated this currently popular dark techno sound that Lieb is trying to do his own spin on here. What I'm trying to say is he doesn't really seem to understand as to what makes this type of sound work. |

Come on woony! disease carrier would be great in a club. its not as bad as you are making it sound.
also i think you are misunderstanding the audience. lieb isnt producing techno tracks to be played at berghain. his techno tracks are basically still being sold to prog and trance djs from late 90s to early 00s who now play some big room techno in their snooze fest tech-house sets (ie the corpses of sasha and digweed on the stage).
sasha played rich curtis lower my voice (oliver lieb remix) when i saw him last year and here is a video of him playing it at some other club
fyi i like this remix. it sounds great in a club. but the sound isnt sandwell district as much as some red headed illegitimate and developmentally delayed step child version of LSG. We in the audience want to hear aquilia dreamstate (lsg remix), sasha wants to play it, but instead we get disease carrier. Its like masterbation, it satisfies some urge but ultimately leaves everyone empty. |

Fatal is pretty cool, reminds me of Plastikman. Angel Alanis G-Remix of The Prophet is quite nice, too, albeit a bit redundant.
