the problem with S-K, and really it's the majority, is that they can't distinguish between saying something (an artist, an artwork, a wine, a book, etc, ...) is , and criticizing those who like that .
He clearly states that above (putting people down). As far as I remember, the "hating" done around here is was about the artist, not the fans.
What it comes down to is this bull egalitarian notion that there are NO standards (SK again: to each his own), and that all WORTH is decided by subjective likes.

No one is telling anyone WHAT to like, just that what you like is !

Actually, what one can and should do, is iudge the stuff being liked by the masses absolutely, and then judge the fans' worth by what it is they're enjoying.
most of the Time that's an inverse relationship.
(money is irrelevant, BTW, just look at Koons or Hirst prices, lol)
BTW, Sk I really dont like Miles Davis, so according to your way of thinking, he must suck....
